Mirror, Mirror

I am forever in the search for the perfect mirror coffee table.

Two years ago, I fell in love with THE perfect table in my showroom. It was the perfect height, had the right lines. It was gorgeous. There was only one problem...

it was $1500.

So now I spend my days scouring the internet looking for the next best thing.
Here are a few of my favorites...

This one is very similar to the one I saw in our showroom except its smaller. Look at that antiquing...

I love the way this one reflects all of the green accents in the room.

This square shape is a nice change up.

This table is fabulous. I LOVE the scale.

This is one of my favorites. Hollywood regency at it's best.
Swooooooon...

If I cant find anything I love and can afford I might take matters into my own hand and find something I can refurbish.

Could be interesting...

Shore Thing

Ever since I moved to the coast I have become obsessed with all things sea related. I have fish figurines, antique octopus prints (my favorite-if you ever find any good ones-please let me know) and my gorgeous Thomas Paul Reef Pillows.

So you can only imagine the joy I felt when I opened up Anthropologie's new Spring catalog to find many 'Deep Blue Sea' wonders...

starting with... this dinnerware.
I love the way the inky blue octopus pops off of the white china.

And check it...
...the handle on the teacup has tentacles! loves.it.

And then there are these dessert plates...I actually saw these in the store and resisted the urge to buy them but now I'm second guessing myself. I wish they came in more designs. Wouldn't they look fabulous hanging on a wall? Just love the palette.

Tea Anyone?I. Love. This. So. Much.
Sea Urchin teapot, creamer, and sugar pot. I've already forwarded this along to MB to let him know the set would make a wonderful anniversary present next month. (hint, hint)

Spring Is In The Air

Happy Easter, folks!

Spring is finally here after a long and brutal Southern winter and I could not be happier. Spring time in my household means lots-o-gardening. Last weekend I planted some dahlias and snapdragons in two planters I found in the back yard.

Aren't they pretty?

I also planted a flower box full of impatiens in my backyard.

And they're thriving.

I found several old pots in our backyard...

I hope to fill these with beautiful blooms as well.

This little cactus was on it's last leg...but with some TLC, I'm bringing it back.

Next weekend I hope to tackle the flower beds in the front yard...stay tuned!

Abode: Charlotte

This past week I was in Charlotte and called on one of my favorite designers in the area-Mary Tobias Miller at her store 'Abobe'. Mary opened Abode about 2 years ago in a cute little art district in uptown-and can I just say?

This.store.is.fabulous.

Mary Miller's look is definitely in line with my style. Beautiful neutrals with lots of textures. I seriously want every vignette in her store. Check out the peacock blue leather ottomans-do you love them Or do you LOVE THEM?!?
And that painting...will be hanging above
my sofa. It's just a matter of time.

And don't even get me started on this linen covered dresser.

Ahhhh...swoon.

Check out this beautiful dinning room. Mercury glass galore. (my favorite!)

If you are ever in the Charlotte area, be sure to check out Abode. You wont be disappointed.
